Heart For The House

Dear Cityline,

Each year during the Christmas season, Cityline Church takes part in a unique tradition. We choose to live generously by taking an offering that goes above and beyond our regular giving throughout December and leading to our Christmas Eve Services that is used to increase ministry efforts and further advance the Good News of Jesus.

Over the past few years, this Christmas Eve offering known as Heart for the House has primarily been focused on establishing Cityline’s local community partnerships. Each year we’ve given the entirety of your above and beyond generosity to help support the good work that is happening in our local communities. However, in 2023, we took a step of faith and we leaned into making an even greater impact together by regularly living open handed. Over the past two years we’ve collectively given away a percentage of every dollar given to Cityline towards our community partners during the year. By linking arms with Olive Crest, Good Soil, and the Cityline Cares Initiative, Cityline has made a strong impact in the ongoing efforts of addressing homelessness, foster/adoption care and services, counseling, feeding the hungry, employment opportunities and helping those impacted by the loss of snap benefits. We can’t thank you enough for the significant impact you are making in our local communities and beyond.

With the impact you have consistently made in 2025, this year’s Heart for the House offering will have 3 specific focuses that will directly impact Cityline Church. In 2026 Cityline Church will celebrate its 10-year Anniversary. While we have seen God do incredible things in the last 10 years, we are confident that as a church family, we are just getting started. We sense that God is doing something special at Cityline and we are praying and believing by faith that we will see and experience on earth as it is in heaven as we continue to learn and live the ways of Jesus. As we look ahead to all that God has in store, our 3 Heart for the House objectives are:

  • Ongoing essential building repairs and maintenance buildings are blessings, but they require upkeep, while progress has been made we will continue the work including AC upgrades, roofing repairs, painting, termite control, etc.
  • Upgrading environments and creating new space in 2026 we believe God will entrust us with more! To facilitate that, the Commons (building next to the church) much needed upgrades. The bungalow will receive a remodel creating a bigger space for the nursery and families with new babies to reacclimate back on campus with their little ones. We will create functional spaces for the continued growth of adults, both kids and students, as well as upgrades for our live service experience.
  • Proper staff support keeping pace with current and continued growth as we help people discover and follow Jesus, we would like to add a new full time pastoral role and part time admin support in 2026.
Our Heart for the House above and beyond giving goal is $80,000 this December. This may sound like a big goal, and it is, but we have big goals and big faith in an abundant God.

This Christmas season and in every season, we are consistently reminded of God’s faithfulness to us as a people and to his church. 2025 has been an incredible year with healthy growth and so much to celebrate. Your generosity truly makes a difference. We recognize your contributions are more than just a dollar amount; your gifts are your willingness to place Jesus first in your life as you come alongside the mission of God that’s being lived out through the local church. We get to do this together!

For those who are regularly giving, we thank you, for those who give at strategic times during the year, Christmas Eve would be a great opportunity. For those you may know who may be looking for a good cause to give to, we think there is no better cause than the good news of Jesus though the local church.
